Providing access to cost-efficient, replicable, safe and flexible CCUS
Update on the ACCSESS demonstration plant
During 2024, ACCSESS partners Neustark and ETH Zürich successfully operated a mineral carbonation demonstration plant with a storage capacity exceeding 100 kg of CO₂ per hour!
The experimental campaign is now over – it’s now time to report the main learnings. Pilot-scale operation moves us one step closer to full-scale industrial integration.
Two shades of green: can European industry decarbonise and stay competitive?
European industry is faced with two challenges: the need for decarbonisation and maintaining competition. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) presents a way of addressing both challenges simultaneously.
On 29 January, ACCSESS gathered CCS experts, and European industry and policymakers for an open event in Brussels, to explore what needs to happen for CCS to fulfil this potential.
The event set the scene for CCS in Europe, investigated how we can cooperate to meet the ambitions of the European Clean Industrial Deal, and explored how we can decarbonise European energy-intensive industries without compromising international competitiveness.
